Yes - A visa is required for travel to Bahamas

A valid passport and visa are required to transit through this destination. U.S. Permanent Residents (greencard holders) are exempt from the visa requirement; they must carry a valid passport and original US Permanent Resident card.

Passport Requirements:

Original passport and one photocopy of information page. The passport must be signed, valid for 6 months beyond stay and with at least one blank passport page available for visa stamp(s). Amendment pages in the back of the passport are not suitable for visa stamps.


Bahamas Visa Application Form:

Two signed Bahamas visa application forms plus one copy.


Photo Requirements:

Two recent, identical, 2 x 2 passport photographs, in color, front view and with a plain/light background.

OR - you can upload a passport photo to the Global Service Order Form when you place your order, instead of providing physical passport photos.


Other Forms:

The applicant must include a copy of onward destination visas.


Proof Of Departure:

Two copies of computer generated flight itinerary from the airline or a travel agency or copy of airline ticket showing entry and departure from Bahamas.


Residency Status:

Original and one copy of valid, multiple entry US visa. US visa holders should have original I-94 or I-20 stapled to their passport.
-F1 Students must submit valid I-20 form back and front. The I-20 must bear the signature of the international student advisor signed for the current semester.
-J1 holders must present the DS2019 form (formerly IAP-66)
-H1B Individuals traveling to The Bahamas to have their H1B visa affixed in their passport must present the approval notice along with written confirmation of date, time and confirmation code of the appointment at the US Embassy in Nassau.


Global Service Order Form:

This is Travisa's service order form, where you will provide your contact and shipping information, choose the visa processing needed and make your payment. You must print the completed form and send it to Travisa with all other supporting documents.

Bahamas Visa Validity:

Visas are generally issued for a single entry with a validity of up to a maximum of 3 months.

Bahamas Visa Processing Time:

Visas are usually processed in 5 business days. Rush and Emergency service may be available for additional fees. Please visit our Consular Fees page for details.

In order to ensure that visa applications for most embassies/consulates are submitted on the day that we receive them, they should be shipped to us via FedEx Priority Overnight (not First Overnight or Standard Overnight).

Non-refundable tickets or reservations should not be purchased until all visas and passports are secured and in your possession.
